Note to Democrats, Libertarians & Independents ---
You are not my enemy, and I am not yours. In reality, not even 'UniParty' Republicans* are my enemies. I call this the 'potential friends' page, because that's what we need to be.
The enemy, in my opinion, is a monstrous, malevolent beast lurking in the shadows behind a lot of what we see playing out before us. It is an entity that wants to aggregate all earthly political, financial and logistical power to itself.
I think the vast, vast majority of humans really want to think of themselves as embracing what is good, true, just and beautiful. I know I do, and you very likely do, too. Very sophisticated evil can seduce the best of us into being tools for its purposes -- useful idiots, as Lenin referred to those he duped for his ends. I'm sorry to say I've learned this lesson the hard way by lending my energies in the past to causes I was deceived into thinking were good. Perhaps you can relate. I'm trying to wise up.
The battle between power and freedom has a long, bloody history. Movements toward expanding individual liberties have emerged at a few points along the way. We can look back to the brief episodes in Greek and Roman cultures as examples, as well as the hundreds of mostly unknown little blips of rebellions against tyranny throughout history.
Western Civilization can be thought of as a long, slow slog toward individuals winning the right to govern themselves. It first broke out when Barons confronted King John of England and won the Magna Carta in A.D. 1215, removing unrestrained power from the King. The struggle between King, Parliament and People continued right down to our own Declaration of Independence in 1776. We fought eight long, bloody years to establish that independence, and the framers forged a document in the U.S. Constitution that brought humanity to a height of individual liberty that had never before been attained in human history.
Through the last two-and-a-half centuries that freedom has been severely challenged to more perfectly encompass all races, genders and ethnic groups and defend at great cost against raging forces of tyranny. At just the moment when we should be living in profound awe and gratitude for living in this responsive, shapeable, freedom-producing Republic, the corrupting cynicism of Critical Theory has somehow caused us to writhe upon ourselves in doubt and divisiveness. Just at the point when personal prosperity and freedom have reached levels unimaginable in by-gone days, even to monarchs and aristocracy, American culture is being maligned as though it were the scourge of the earth. Just as millions around the globe are striving desperately to be a part of what we enjoy, we are yielding to screeching forces that want to rip it to shreds.
Critical Theory, however, is merely a tool being used by this shadowy beast to corrode and undermine the confidence that holds our Republic together. The real enemy waits and watches for the opportune moment to ensnare us with its collectivist hallucination. It promises an idealistic fix to every human problem, many of which it has either inflicted upon us itself or incited to volatile reactions by picking at socially tender scabs. Even now this collectivist, technocratic, fascistic, elitist serpent is slithering into and coiling around every significant institution of our culture, persuading, propagandizing and coercing our leaders to turn the keys of power over to what it considers to be its all-knowing control.
My plea to you is to recognize that this shadowy global entity, whoever is ultimately driving it, is the enemy. We may have differences, but if you believe in the idea of American liberty as embedded in our founding documents, let's come together against this beast of Collectivistic Tyranny, whatever name it finally clothes itself with. The goal of our enemy is not to hammer out issues between us as Americans, as we have always done. Its goal is to take its hammer and smash the foundations of the American idea so it can replace it with a collectivist system of complete authoritarian control.
I'm not trying to convince anyone to change their party affiliation. But just as I am calling out 'UniParty' Republicans* to come back to their base and realize how their core values have been compromised, I ask you, whether you're a Democrat, Libertarian, Independent or other, to make sure the name you hold still correlates to the values that have made America what she is.
* N.B. - I used to use the term 'Country Club' Republicans in reference to RINOs, but that unfairly indicts a lot of decent people who happen to be members of country clubs. There is also no need to cast aspersions upon the rhinoceros, one of the most marvelous creatures in the animal kingdom. I like Jack Posobiec's term, 'Over-State' Republicans, which describes their inclination to side with those who are determined to be our globalist overlords. However, I think the meaning of 'over-state' still escapes a lot of people. For the time being, I believe the term 'UniParty' is beginning to resonate widely as a reference that the elite Democrats AND Republicans are functioning together as tools of the globalist agenda.
